Childminder in High Wycombe
I love Arts and Crafts and always encourage the children to be creative and express themselves whilst we carry out craft activities. I have a large selection of materials of which the children can help themselves to along with natural items the children collect and make into collages.
Some activities include; Painting, Gluing and Sticking, Sewing/Cross Stitch, Clay, Playdoh, Plaster of Paris and Beads.
Cooking and Baking
I try to pass my love of cooking onto the children, and give them plenty of opportunities to cook with me. This may be something to bake and bring home to share with their parents and siblings, or it may be something for their own tea that evening.
Some things the children like to cook and prepare include; Apple Crumble, Fairy Cakes and Cookies, Pizza, Chocolate brownies and bread.
General Outdoor Games
Physical exercise is also very important and children have time to run and play freely so although living in a maisonette prevents me from having my own garden, the children are never disadvantaged in outdoor activities; we have a lovely green with duck pond and park downstairs.
We often enjoy ball games, feeding the ducks, hopscotch, playing on the swings, water fun and even making snow men outside.
About me and my experiences:
I am Stacey Farrell, an Ofsted registered childminder in High Wycombe, Wooburn Green living with my 13 year old son Sean.
I grew up in Buckinghamshire, but we have lived here in Wooburn for 10 years. In 2006 I decided to become a registered childminder and have thoroughly enjoyed the experiences and the rewards it continues to give me.
During my childminding career I have cared for 10 children; two recently left my care, to start full time school. I currently collect from St Augustine’s Catholic School, High Wycombe, and Oakwood Nursery in Beaconsfield.
I have experience in childcare and development from birth to 5 years.rnrnI am dedicated to the development of all the children in my care and enjoy seeing the children grow up to become confident, individual characters, who have learnt through playing and being comfortable with their surroundings.
